Florence Remy is a contemporary French artist based in Paris, specializing in oil portrait painting.

She trained in Florence, Italy, in order to acquire the basics of drawing and painting, as well as at the Imperial Academy of St. Petersburg in Russia.

She has received numerous prizes and medals, from the Institute of France, the Academic Society of Arts-Sciences-Lettres, the Society of French Artists, and the European Academy of Arts, as well as distinctions abroad in Japan, Russia and America.

Academically trained, her paintings are completed in several layers. The artist likes to push the limits of realism in a universe unique to each of the characters she paints: highly sought after by a clientele appreciating great art through the centuries, her paintings give back to the art of portraiture its full place in contemporary society.

Florence Remy works for institutions, companies and private clients in France and around the world. Her works are exhibited regularly in art salons and galleries.
